Red Sterol Complex provides red yeast rice, plant sterols and cinnamon bark to help maintain healthy blood pressure and lipid levels - important for healthy arteries, heart and blood circulation. Red yeast rice has been eaten and is made in China for centuries by fermenting rice with Monascus purpureus (once fermented, the yeast is inactivated). The Complex also provides plant sterols, plus vitamin E, to help protect blood lipids against the harmful oxidation. Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Four capsules typically provide: 200mg Red Yeast Rice, 1000mg Plant sterols, 34mg Cinnamon bark, extract 30:1 (equivalent to 1000mg cinammon bark), 100mg Vitamin E. Suggested intake: Adults take 2 capsules twice daily for 12 weeks, then maintain at to 2-3 capsules daily. Daily Vitamin C, Beta Carotene and Co-Enzyme Q10 are also recommended.
