The music, composed by no other than Sergei Prokofiev, was reconstructed for the first time for this performance. Capriccio now presents the first recording of this restored original score, which arose from the collaboration of two geniuses, Eisenstein and Prokofiev. Comppared to Prokofiev"s famous "Alexander Nevsky" cantata, there are no less than 20 minutes of additional music. Film music specialist Frank Strobel conducts the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.
