This set contains a deck of 74 tarot cards, a book, and seven cards with abbreviated meanings for each card. The 74 paintings draw on images and mythologies from the whole spectrum of the world"s cultures and religions. The deck retains the traditional tarot images - the wheel of fortune, the moon, the universe, death, the lovers - and reinterprets them in the light of global multi-culture. Christianity, Islam, the shaman and the sufi, Buddhist concepts and Amerindian ideas, Taoist symbols and Egyptian hieroglyphs are all represented.
