Mistrust and Lies tells a story of family conflict. The main character"s determination to overcome difficulties leads to her adult life in which she refuses to let her own child encounter the same situations and heartbreak as she herself had to endure. We see her life from childhood to adulthood: an omnipotent parent to a mentally abusive marriage and being a single mother.
