Mollie Schmidt, Ph.D. psychologist, family therapist, and mother of four has written a fine book informed by her rich life and experience. Based on her knowledge of child development, her insight and empathy, the author has been able to write stories that convey, clearly and effectively, how children were able to deal with challenging situations. These stories are useful for young people to read and learn about how others have handled serious issues such as bullying, prejudice, economic hardship, sexual abuse, and physical challenges, among others.
