The Amprobe IR-720 infrared thermometer is designed to measure temperature in a variety of HVAC, electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, quality control, and fire prevention applications. The meter has a 20:1 distance-to-spot (D:S) ratio, and a minimum spot size of 25mm. Emissivity is digitally adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00, in increments of 0.01, for testing a variety of materials. A single laser pointer helps ensure more accurate targeting. The backlit LCD display has an eight-second hold for reading temperature, and a low battery indicator to help prevent false readings. The meter also displays maximum, minimum, average, and difference temperature A tripod mount stabilizes the meter for reading that require extended time. Dual-scale temperature readings range from -26 to 1,922 degrees F (-32 to 1050 degrees C), with a resolution of 0.1 degrees F (0.1 degrees C).
