The Fluke 62 MAX infrared thermometer takes noncontact temperature measurement and is used for monitoring electrical, HVAC, and automotive systems. It measures temperature from -30 to +500 degrees C (-22 to 932 degrees F) with an accuracy of + or - 1.5 degree C or + or - 1.5% of the reading from 0 to 500 degrees C. It has a 10:1 infrared distance-to-spot ratio with laser sighting for pinpointing the measurement area. It large LCD shows the minimum, the maximum, the difference between the two temperatures, and the average temperatures. Alarms indicate measurements outside of high and low temperature limits. Backlighting technology helps eliminate light reflections and improves contrast in low-light conditions. The thermometer resists impact from drops up to 3m, and it is Ingress Protection certified IP54 for protection against dust and splashing liquid. The CE mark indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives. This thermometer is suitable for measuring the temperature of equipment, systems, and processes in electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), mechanical, and automotive environments.SpecificationsTemperature range-30 to +500 degrees C (-22 to +932 degrees F)Infrared sensor accuracy0 to 500 degrees C (0 to 932 degrees F): + or - 1.5 degree C or + or - 1.5% of the reading, whichever is greater; -10 to 0 degrees C: + or - 2.0 degrees C; -30 to -10 degrees C: + or - 3.0 degrees CDisplay resolution0.1 degree C / 0.2 degree FOptical resolution10:1 at 90% energyWaterproofingIP54Power SupplyAA batteryWeight255g / 8.99oz.Dimensions175 x 75 x 85mm / 6.88 x 2.95 x 3.34 inches (H x W x D) H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.Digital infrared thermometers measure the temperature of surfaces from a distance. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing the infrared radiation emitted by a surface onto a detector called a thermopile. The thermopile turns the heat into electricity, which is measured and converted to a temperature reading. The reading is then displayed on an LCD display. IR thermometers are used to measure temperature when an object is fragile, as in ear thermometers, or dangerous to be near, as in the case of industrial equipment. Fluke Corporation manufactures electrical testing tools and software for industrial and commercial applications. The company, founded in 1948, is headquartered in Everett, WA.What"s in the Box?Fluke 62 MAX infrared thermometerInstructions
