The annually published directory provides comprehensive information on almost 3000 commercially available CD-ROMs. There are up to 26 items of information for each CD-ROM in the Optical Product Directory and access to these is facilitated by eight indexes including an expanded Subject Index, Publisher Index, Software Provider Index, Non-US Distributor Index etc. In addition there is a Macintosh Title Index and a profile of the Japanese CD-ROM industry. There are also over 150 subject categories. This CD-ROM edition provided access to all the information in the text by searching the entire database. Users can search for any word, or word combination, in any field or combination of fields.
