Seven papers from a conference session which aimed to "take a look at what results GIS delivers for archaeological interpretation and how the use of spatial technologies influences research design". They are organised in a loose thematic order, moving from heritage management to regional studies to intra-site research, and demonstrate the breadth of GIS applications today.
