The BOM ensemble plays mainly specially created bamboo instruments, but also traditional bamboo instruments from different world cultures. Japanese native Makoto Yabuki, who founded the ensemble, began working with the instruments there. He then moved to Marseille, France, where he began to build new bamboo instruments that produce excitingly original sounds.
