On this CD the Glenn Miller Orchestra is under the leadership of saxophonist and singer Tex Beneke. We have imagined that romantic balladeer Garry Stevens receives a "Dear John" letter from "Dream Girl". He responds as only a trusty troubadour can, in song, the titles of which tell a story of disbelief, heartache, loss and memories. At the end of his letter, Garry bids for a reconciliation and in the process creates a thoroughly enjoyable and collectable set of recordings.
