The present collection of selected articles by the well known philologist and lexicographer V. V. Lopatin deals with issues of word-formation, morphemics, morphonology, and morphology. Many theses of this book got practical use and development in proper academic Russian language grammars. The last chapter consists of articles on the actual problems of orthography, connected with a new complete academic handbook "Rules of Russian Orthography and Punctuation".
