Auto-locking fall arrester for use on 8 mm diameter cable. The device will trail the user during ascension and lock automatically in the event of a fall. Must to be used in combination with an EN 355 certified energy absorber, like any one of the Petzl ABSORIBICAs or Petzl ASAP ABSORBERs. Has a hole for a carabiner or quicklink connector. Once the connector is inserted, the device can not be removed from the cable. Has locking cams which arrest the descent along the cable in the event of a fall.
