Russian Orthodox Church Law accumulates the pious experience of many generations. It mostly regulates the visible rules of spiritual life, like liturgy, fasts, monk and Church discipline, but through these rites it influences the inner life of the clergy as well. This collection of Old Russian coenobite regulations was prepared by Amvrosii (Ornatskii) almost two hundred years ago, but was not published until now. It includes six Monastery Laws by Varlaam Khutynskii, Kirill Belozerskii, Hieromanach Igumen, Mitropolitan Daniil, and Kornilii Komel"skii, as well as several appendices on the subject. Bibliography.
