Cultural landscapes ("historical landscapes") became the subject of scientific investigation only in the 1970s. In this book this term means that the landscapes had been changed as a result of human activity in the Middle Ages. The purpose of the current publication is to present results of investigations in the territory of Moscow and near Moscow based on modern methods of landscape archeology.
