Management of Organization Transition in the public sector

More Scientists at work, advances in computing and faster communications world wide are spawning an age of rapid change. There is growing concern over poverty, food security, quality of environment and energy resources. Political change,too, is playing its part; democratization comes with more employee participation in management activities. This of course has to do with survival and adapting to a changing world. Omitting transition management from any discussions of contemporary management issues is to omit a significant component of management and leadership. Failure to deal with transitional management is not only a serious moral failure, but will also jeopardize achievement of other management objectives. This book shows that recognizing the role of proper transition management is acknowledging the need for an integrated approach to managing people.
