Hepatitis in Gilgit, Pakistan

Hepatitis (B and C) is a worldwide problem rapidly spreading in developing countries. Over 2 billion people across the globe have been exposed to Hepatitis B virus and 350 million are its chronic carriers. According to an estimate, it causes death of over 1 million people annually. Book is about prevalence of hepatitis B and C in Gilgit city of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Research also include genomic characterization of viruses collected during the study. Information presented will be helpful for health managers, planner, practitioners, hygiene promoters, pathologists, microbiologists and awareness raising campaign leaders and organizations equally.
