This study outlines the steps undertaken to identify women"s perception of Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) in public health facilities in Ethiopia and constructed a tool to measure the construct using psychometric recommendation for new scale development. The study also presented how it was managed to identify dimensions of RMC and come up with a parsimonious tool with good psychometric characteristics.
