Among them were: the Scottish tutor of Peter the Great General Patrick Gordon; General and Admiral Francois Lefort; General Field marshal Count Jan Sapega; General Field Marshal Count Burchard Minich; Grand Admiral Samuel Greig, Commander Vitus Bering, and Joseph De Ribas.
