To explain the scenario of the last "velvet revolutions" in Georgia and Ukraine, the author goes back and describes the nature, technology and mechanism of several revolutions in Europe of the same kind: Hungary (1956),France (1968), Romania, Democratic Republic of Germany, Czechoslovakia in 1989. Kara-Murza evaluates the situation in Russia and possible prospects of an "orange revolution" in Russia.
