This is the first volume of two of the monographwhich deals with the literary history of lives of two Pskov saints: princes Vsevolod-Gavriil and Dormont. The author found new editions of these life stories, made the information about their authors and date more exact, identified their historical and literary sources. Analysis of the life stories along with hymns in their honor allowed the author to solve several textological problems. The monograph publishes all known editions of the lives.
