This is an Eduard Models 1/72 Scale assembly and painting required plastic model kit of the Bf 110 G-2, the heavy-fighter, fighter-bomber and bomber-destroyer variant of the Messerschmitt Bf 110 Zerstorer ("Destroyer") multi-mission aircraft operated by the German Luftwaffe during World War II. Mode kit features: crisp recessed panel lines, fully equipped 2-place cockpit, well rendered wheel wells and undercarriage, separately molded ailerons, extensive external stores (rockets, bombs, drop tanks, ventral cannon fairing, gun pod), single-piece 3-blade propellers with separate spinner assemblies and segmented canopy with optional position hatches. Also includes die-cut canopy and wheel masks plus photo-etch parts (rudder pedals, cockpit accents, gunsights, torque links, intake screen, color instrument panel, consoles, seatbelts). The Messerschmitt 110 was developed in the 1930"s in an attempt by Luftwaffe planners to develop a multi-purpose fighter/ground-attack aircraft called the Zerstorer or "Destroyer". The "Destroyer" concept was championed by the commander of the Luftwaffe Hermann Goring, and the Bf 110 was the first of three "Destroyer" types produced by Messerschmitt.
