It was after the critically acclaimed Land Of The Free in 1995 that GammaRay became one of the top European Power Metal Bands and became widely known as a hard working band, releasing more than ten albums in twenty years and permanently being on the road with the likes of Iron Maiden, Halford, Hammerfall and Stratovarius. In their 25 years lasting career which spawned album highlights such as Land Of The Free (1993), Powerplant (1999), No World Order (2001) or Majestic (2005) they milled like the eponymic gamma ray through the international metal scene and gathered a faithful, ever expanding fan base on the whole globe. With their latest studio work Empire Of The Undead , Kai Hansen (Voice/Lead Guitar), Dirk Schlächter (Bass), Henjo Richter (Lead Guitar/Key boards) and Michael Ehre (Drums) had the task to follow up one of their most successful albums To The Metal! which brought them back to the highest charts positions in many territories. Now, almost one year has passed since Empire of the Undead was released and after 11 studio albums in their 25 year career, GammaRay are ready to get their first selection of their best and most representative songs in one album out in the stores. The record features mostly two songs of each of their albums to give metal fans and those to be a real cross section of their extensive work so far. All re mastered by Eike Freese (i.a. Deep Purple).
