This book is a collection of stories and memoirs of Russian soldiers, veterans of WWI, primarily about the first year of this war. Among the contributors to the collection are: a Cossack from Irkutsk L.V. Saianskii (1889-?), officer and later writer V.V. Muizhel" (1880-1924), and historians S.N. Bazanov and A.V. Oleinikov.
