International Islamic Fundamentalism: A Case of Uganda: Fundamentalism in General

In the recent years, ‘Islamic Fundamentalism’ has become an area of attraction due to misrepresentation of the Islamic Fundamentals. The representative meaning of Islamic Fundamentalism in this book is therefore; "the practice of those people who claim to be representing Islam, but who are in most cases restating the position in the extreme potential terms over and against those who have tried to adopt it to changing situations". This ideology can be both national and international. The book examines a period of ten years of Islam in Uganda. However, the whole period of Islam in Uganda since its inception has been reviewed to form a background representative of the circumstances that clearly show both local and global perspectives of Islamic Fundamentalism. This book will have an important role to researchers in Islam and international politics, policy makers, academics, scholars of Islam, teachers, educationists, governments, donors, anybody passionate about Islamic developments and consultants intending to build peace and religious pluralism to promote justice.
