Aleksandr Ivanovich Kaznacheev served under Count M.S. Vorontsov for more than 40 years, and was his main assistant in settlements in Crimea and the Black Sea region. In addition to official letters which Kaznacheev sent as a civil governor of Tavrida Gubernia, he also sent him many private letters. These letters included many topics and opinions which were not appropriate for official letters, including the exchange about the real situation in Tavrida, the war with Turkey 1828-1829, cholera and plague epidemics, rebellions, and more.
