Good Earth Lighting"s Versalite series lives up to its name--it includes a number of features that give you a great degree of flexibility in terms of how you use these fixtures. First, it"s easy to install--the manual says it takes 45 minutes, but with it"s two-screw mounting process, this is really more like 20. Once installed, you can adjust the swiveling light heads for optimal illumination. Each unit includes a built-in high/low dimmer, too.The really great thing about the Versalites, however, is that you can connect them if you need more illumination. Each fixture in this line comes with a connecting cord--all you have to do is install the second fixture then plug this cord into both units. For extra convenience, you can hardwire the fixture directly to your house"s electrical system using the G9189BX direct box (sold separately).The GL9181-WH-I uses a single 25-watt G8 halogen bulb and comes in a clean, simple white finish. It"s relatively compact, and will fit just about anywhere (it measures 6 by 1-1/4 by 3-1/4 inches, length by width by depth).
