Many consider the Biblical book of Revelation as a closed book; that it is too strange and can not be understood. They are bewildered by the many strange images contained in the book. Many just throw up their hands in confusion and ignore the book. But this confusion can be removed if one allows the Holy Bible to explain itself. Revelation, According to the Bible takes the reader through the many visions that make up the book and using the Bible as its guide provides an explanation to the many visions. The work locates in scripture explanations for the numerous seemingly odd symbols found in Revelation. Also by using the Bible one learns the meaning of the visions; such as, the lady and the dragon in chapter 12 and the two reapers in chapter 14. It also shows how the traditional concept of hell, a place of endless torment, which comes from Revelation, is actually incorrect; that the mistake is a result of a misunderstanding of the original wording of the text. The book can be used to study all of the visions in Revelation or if the reader simply wishes to understand a single vision they can. Each vision is discussed separately in a chapter devoted specifically to it. So the book may be seen as an extensive Bible study or as a series of smaller individual studies. Revelation is not a closed, confusing book but, as the reader will discover, it is actually a chance to gain a peek at the end of the story that is God"s forgiving work.
