Doctrine of Inner Peace (Doctrine of the Mean)

The Doctrine of Inner Peace is one of the most beautiful and deeply meaningful Chinese classical works. Written over two thousand years ago, it sheds light upon the wisdom that has molded the character of Eastern thought for centuries. It is believed to have been written by Tsze-sze, the grandson of Confucius. Its passages incorporate a blend of Confucian, Taoist, and Buddhist concepts, all functioning in harmony to create lofty, idealistic concepts. Its teachings are practical, yet oftentimes transcendent and spiritual. It is a timeless masterpiece of Chinese philosophical thought.
