Silvestr Feodosievich Shchedrin (1791-1830) was a Russian landscape painter. He left Russia for Italy in 1818 and never returned. He was the first artist who applied landscape technique to city views. This book is a collection of his letters and reports to the Russian Academy of Art. Illustrated.
