The book is a collection of adventure and hard science fiction short stories by the same author. Most anthologies are written by a number of different authors and if you like one story you cannot be sure you will like the rest. On the other hand, if you like a story in an anthology written by the same author, more than likely you will enjoy all of the stories. The first five stories are exciting adventure tales. The last four are hard science fiction situations. Both the adventure and hard science fiction are full of science and engineering.
