In The View from Brooklyn, a short novel, the editor of a union newspaper faces danger as he seeks to unseat a corrupt union official. Now retired, the author worked as the editor of a union newspaper for decades. The book also contains a collection of Walter Balcerak"s poems, short stories, memoirs and essays. He has an M.A. in writing from Long Island University, and taught and tutored writing at Pace University in New York City.
