Chase spent his days as a US Army soldier, rounding up the Cherokee"s, before the Trail of Tears. But soon, Chase was hiding a secret life, while Alyssa carried their unborn child. Would physical and verbal abuse end, or would Chase end Alyssa"s life, before God stepped in? This book was based in Huntington, North Carolina, and years later, changed to Murphy. Fort Butler was built in Huntington as one of the major forts built to gather the Cherokee"s. Lana Stapleton-Morris has been married to her husband, Wayne for 8 years. Lana has two children and 3 grand daughters. Because of the love for the mountains, and being able to see the beauty God has created; Lana and Wayne will be relocating to the Nantahala National Forest in Murphy, North Carolina.
