A Corporate Affair

Victor Gladstone entered the lobby of Bishop Industries Ltd. with a firm step and a slight swirl to his jacket. He gave the impression of authority as he was the General Manager of a multi-national company. As he stopped to greet Sally, the young blonde receptionist, he was struck by her youthful charm. He quickly took in her bright green eyes and pink curved lips, framed by her blonde straight hair, his heart flip-flopped. She so resembled his late wife, lost in a car accident five years ago. Even her manners were similar, warm, and open, but with only a slight cockney twang to mar the effect. Sara, his wife, had a soft honey coated voice with a cultured tone. Sally smiled and something struck him, an unusual feeling of sexual attraction. Immediately he was reminded of his late wife. He dismissed the thought immediately. A thrill ran through her and she sighed. No good thinking of him romantically, he was beyond her hopes. Or was he?
