A tale of buried treasure, mysterious floating coffins and strange characters who hang out in a spooky old Victorian house. The adventure takes place on the last 40 miles of a usually tranquil South Carolina river which runs to the sea. Three young men get involved in more than they expected during what they believe will be their last summer without adult responsibilities. With the help of an Aunt who is a mystery book fan the boys find exciting, sometimes scary characters and adventures on the way to solving their own mystery.
