Carolyn Wells (1869-1942) was an American author of more than 170 mysteries and children"s books. Born in Rahway, New Jersey, she became a prolific writer for pulp magazines. Her books include The Gold Bag, The Chain of Evidence, The Man Who Fell Through the Earth, The Killer, Calling All Suspects, and many more.
