This book consists of two works. The first, Comments to Historical Materialism (Istmat), analyzes the roots of the social development deeper than it suggests the formational or civilization approaches. The second work, Sociology of the USSR: the formation and the death of the Soviet Union, compares the classical Marxist views with its applications in this social experiment, identifies its deviations and offers some solutions to deal with these deviations.
