This book presents a dialogue between Russian and foreign scholars on issues of political, economic, resource-related and other aspects of development of the Arctic region. The dialogue extends to issues of Arctic territorial division, political contradictions caused by the military presence of various powers in the Arctic, difficulties in the creation of a nuclear weapons free zone in the Arctic, prospects for cooperation of Arctic powers in overcoming the socio-economic problems of the region.
