This monograph studies sociocultural barriers in political dialogs causing numerous conflicts in the modern world. The author identifies alternative models of dialogs, Eastern Orthodox, Western, Confucian, Islamic, Indo-Buddhist, and looks for possible ways to avoid clashes between different civilizations. Central attention is paid to the political culture of Russia, its main categories and concepts vs. others, and different strategies for building consensus with other civilizations.
