The MAXX by Leapfrog PLA filament is a 750g spool of 1.75-mm diameter Dutch orange filament for use with fused-filament 3D printers (sold separately). Polylactic acid (PLA) is a biodegradeable, plant-based plastic that offers a smooth finish on printed parts and is commonly used as a support material because it dissolves in sodium hydroxide (sold separately). It can be used with a heated bed set to around 60 degrees C (140 degrees F) to prevent warping during the printing process and facilitate removal. This material absorbs moisture.
