This adaptor follows the Apple 2A charging specification, if you find charging speed is relatively slow from your non-Apple charger then this adaptor can solve the problem. It also blocks data transfer from a PC/TV/Games console, so your device will see it as a mains charger and won"t try make a data connection. It works just for the OnePlus One smartphone as well as Apple devices. Simply plug this adaptor between your USB socket and charging cable. The Adaptor is labelled as "Apple Fast Charge Only" so you can see clearly what its for. Even when using this adaptor, charging speed will still be limited by - 1) The maximum charging speed that your device supports - usually the same speed as charging from its original charger. 2) Using a low quality or extra long cable. 3) Using an under powered USB charger/socket. iPhones charge fastest with at least 1A, iPads with at least 2A. 4) The OnePlus One smartphone requires a very low resistance cable such as our 1ft Micro USB Cable together with a charger which meets the phone"s specific requirements such as the original version or an iPad charger. Standard 2A chargers will not allow the very fastest charging. This adaptor is not needed.
