Simply plug this cable into the repeater and run your signal up to 33 feet, or, if you need to go further, you can string multiple 33-foot cables up to 250 feet, so long as the cables are connected to each other with the Gefen FireWire Repeater 800 or Gefen FireWire Repeater 400. Note: These cables are designed specifically for the Gefen FireWire Repeater 800 or Gefen FireWire Repeater 400. Due to the FireWire signal limit (which is 16 feet, so long as the signal is unboosted or uncorrected), any attempt to use the cable without the Gefen repeater may result in signal degradation and loss.
