The Ideal R158003 VDV II Pro is an easy to use cable tester that checks the integrity of copper cables commonly found in voice, data or video installations, including telephone wiring, data network and video/security cabling. The VDV II Pro offers functionality not previously available in a wire mapper. The advanced wire map engine accurately displays complex wiring faults instantaneously while the integrated TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) simplifies troubleshooting and improves on-site productivity. The VDV II Pro offers all the features of the VDV II Plus while also including a few features of its own. Besides offering all standard copper testing and wire mapping the VDV II Pro also offers Ethernet detection with network rate and duplex information. It includes Distance to Open / Short (TDR,) PoE detection with voltage information and phone service detection (PBX, ISDN.) It also tests Cat and STP (shielded) cables. All cable tests are performed at once with immediate results that appear on the 2.9" clear, backlit display. The VDV II Pro also offers Hub Blink to identify port connectivity and features overall, and by pair, cable length measurement to aid in troubleshooting.
