Among the thousands of books about the WWII and the Great Patriotic War published recently in Russia there are too many intentionally misleading, diverting attention from real facts and fraudulent publications. Mark Solonin, the author of several famous monographs about the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, argues with numerous Russian books and "monographs" of this kind about this war using his own research as well common sense and accepted facts. He refutes widespread myths about the war like "treacherous invasion" of the German army, its military superiority before the soviet army, secret agent Vol"fovich (Shtirlits), the unpreparedness of the soviet army for this war, and many other smaller lies.
