Dealing with themes familiar to all; such as technology, nature and the environment; the poet captures the climate of our age, reminding us that there is more to life, if only we could take the time to see it. V J Ray writes with an insight and, above all, a passion for humanity, which cannot fail to move the reader to really consider the consequences of our actions today on the people of tomorrow. The author is a medically qualified person with a background in basic scientific research, hence the scientific bias in some of the subjects, but only when it serves the purpose of highlighting a problem of widespread concern, but without unintelligible jargon. On the whole these poems cover a wide range of subjects, and the author hopes that they will appeal to a universal audience.
