This is a reprint of the biography of Russian Tsar Aleksandr the First (1777-1825). It was written by Great Prince Nikolai Mikhailovich (1859-1919) who died tragically in the days of the Red Terror. Though the author belongs to the same Romanov dynasty, the work is a professional historic study and one of the best biographies of Aleksandr the First. The book was first published in 1914.
