Little Sister Got Soul is Andrea Marr"s second commercial release, and showcases her trademark sultry, sassy and soulful vocals that have earned her the nickname "The Pint Sized Powerhouse of the Blues," and made her one of the most popular acts in the Australian Blues scene. The album also showcases Andrea"s songwriting, arranging, and producing abilities for the first time. Seven of the ten songs on the album were penned by Andrea and show her deep love of soul music as well as her lifelong love of blues greats such as Etta James and Freddie King. Andrea comments, "This big soul sound, reminiscent of that STAX sound is what I always wanted to create!" In 2009 the album was nominated for three Australian Blues Music Awards and won the award for 2009 Australian Female Vocalist of the Year.
