City Lights (Mono - 200 Gram) [Vinyl]
At the ripe old age 19, Morgan helmed the City Lights sessions in August of 1957 at Rudy Van Gelders Hackensack site. The all-star sextet tackles arrangements provided by the likes of Benny Golson and Gigi Gryce that are a perfect fit to their collective playing. Curtis Fuller on trombone, George Coleman blowing both alto and tenor, Ray Bryant at the piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Art Taylors drumming add to Morgans trumpet that produced a classic of 50s modern jazz.
