The aim of this work is to help physicians examine each patient"s cultural background so that appropriate, respectful, patient-centred care is provided. It consists of an annotated list of resources such as policies, publications, and web sites regarding health care and communication issues confronting people from under-represented and under-served racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups and those with physical and mental illnesses or disabilities.
