When high school teacher David Fitzgerald prevents his students from boarding a bus that turns out to be carrying a bomb, he is hailed as a modern hero, applauded on TV shows, and praised by the president. His fortune changes just as quickly when, however, when the police reveal that he is also considered a suspect. Suddenly, his media appearances are made to look sinister, his livelihood is taken away, and even his ability to see his own son is threatened. Transformed from hero to pariah, David must do what he can to salvage his life and find out the truth behind the crime.
